Jane Daniels primarily manages and administers projects (such as the Mathews-Gotthelf Mansion, Murdock Building, and Amache) on behalf of Colorado Preservation, provides technical assistance to site stewards, communities, and/or property owners on developing and then implementing preservation plans, and grant writing expertise and project management. Prior to Colorado Preservation, Jane was the Executive Director of the Laramie Main Street Program in Laramie, WY where she successfully initiated the restoration of the Garfield Street Footbridge, the Fox Theater assessment, a downtown market analysis, events like “Upstairs Downtown,” art walks and holiday storefront displays, a façade rehabilitation grant program and numerous other downtown revitalization initiatives. Jane holds a BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters in International Studies/Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming. Her thesis entitled: “Local Impacts of International Cultural Landscape Preservation in the Lednice-Valtice World Heritage Site, Czech Republic” was awarded an Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award by the University of Wyoming in 2005. She brings and interdisciplinary background to her work at CPI in community planning, natural and cultural resource management, and non-profit organizations.
