Since Listing:
Through fundraising and a number of grant sources, including the State Historic Fund, Phase I of the rehabilitation plan for the Grant Avenue Community Center has been completed.  Plans are currently underway to begin work on Phase II, which will address issues with the roof and restore the wooden louvers in the bell tower.  The Community Center is home to a number of local nonprofit and arts groups, in addition to ongoing use by several small church congregations.  The Community Center’s Board of Directors is committed to the rehabilitation plans and preserving the historic space for sacred and community uses.
