Nominate an Endangered Place

Thank you for your commitment and for taking the necessary time to submit an application. By submitting this form you are taking the first step in support of your endangered place. All nominated resources will be reviewed by preservation professionals statewide. Your assigned reviewer will represent your resource through the selection process and will have approximately three weeks in September to visit the location and meet with supporters. Reviewers will rank and discuss nominated resources at regional and statewide review meetings. Final selection will be determined by Colorado Preservation, Inc. board and staff based on reviewer recommendations and discussions. Final selections will be made in October and you can expect to hear back on your nomination status by the end of December.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is Monday, August 19, 2024, at 5 pm.

As you fill out the nomination please note the following:

1.  There is no word limit to sections – add as much information as you deem appropriate to present a complete, thorough nomination.

2. There is a save & continue button at the bottom of the form which, when clicked, will provide you with a link to return to the form from when you last saved. The form information is saved for 30 days. If you have extensive information that will take several days to complete, we recommend you type the answers in a word document and copy and paste into the online form once complete.

3. Three letters of support and supplemental historic and current photographs are required for the nomination.

4. Resource selection takes into consideration: significance, urgency of threat, level of community support, what a “save” would look like for the property, and how CPI can assist. Resource type and location are also considered.

Nominations submitted before the deadline have the opportunity to be reviewed and feedback provided.
