Colorado Preservation, Inc. promotes historic preservation statewide by providing advocacy, education, outreach & preservation services to all communities and individuals.

Since 1998, Colorado Preservation, Inc. has been working with communities throughout the state to save endangered historic buildings, landscapes, and archaeological sites through its Endangered Places Program.

The Preservation Services department of CPI assists private, non-profit, and government historic building owners with grant writing, grant administration and management, and tax credit applications for projects ranging from local landmark, State, and National Register nominations to large construction rehabilitation and restoration activities.

The Saving Places Conference is one of the many ways CPI advances historic preservation by bringing together individuals, organizations, communities, and projects from across the nation to discuss the latest in preservation, looking at common concerns and challenges while celebrating our collective accomplishments. For over 25 years, CPI has provided essential training and networking opportunities to individuals like YOU working to protect our state’s heritage.

Colorado Preservation, Inc.’s (CPI) annual Dana Crawford & State Honor Awards event is Colorado’s premier statewide preservation awards celebration, honoring significant contributions toward preserving Colorado’s cultural and architectural history as well as its heritage landscapes.
